Further to Circular 01/2021, regarding the modality and Rules of Procedure (RoP) of the 42nd World Scout Conference and 14th World Scout Youth Forum, we would like to thank all Member Organizations (MOs) who submitted their vote in the referendum.
Following the deadline for submission of ballots on 15 February 2021, 23h59 GMT, the motion to convene the 42nd World Scout Conference and 14th World Scout Youth Forum virtually has been approved by simple majority, a total of 150 MOs voted, with 141 of them in favour, 7 against, and 2 abstentions.
Below are the outcomes of the approved motion:
- the 14th World Scout Youth Forum will convene virtually from Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22 August 2021
- the 42nd World Scout Conference will convene virtually from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 29 August 2021
- the virtual meeting of the 42nd World Scout Conference will observe the agreed Rules of Procedure
Over the coming period the World Scout Bureau will implement the institutional timeline as provided for in the RoP and announced through Circular 03/2021. Further information on registration, agenda and business matters of the events will be published on scoutconference.org and through WOSM’s communication channels.
