Edward Andrew “Andy” CHAPMAN

Candidate for Voting Member of the World Scout Committee
I am honoured to be a candidate for re-election to the World Scout Committee. Scouting has been one of the most impactful guiding forces in my life; and for this reason, I continuously strive to give back to a movement that has gifted me so many life skills and experiences. As I am a product of the Scouting programme, starting as a Cub Scout over 30 years ago, I know first-hand the impact Scouting has on individuals, families, and local communities. The world needs Scouting today more than ever before! Scouting sets the example for the rest of the world to follow. It shows that peace and coexistence can occur anywhere, regardless of our backgrounds, education, or culture. In fact, Scouting proves that our differences are what makes us stronger. We must strive to make Scouting available to more young people around the world to help create a brighter future for our entire global society. My volunteer and professional experience have prepared me well to provide strong leadership for WOSM, guiding the Scouting movement towards our common Vision 2023 and helping to make a better world for everyone.
