Mori Chi-Kin CHENG

Candidate for Voting Member of the World Scout Committee
I have been involved in Scouting for the past 15 years and I truly believe it is a life-changing experience – from a scout to a young adult leader. I have also seen significant impact that Scouting is making on youth globally and I am grateful to be part of this educational movement. As a Youth Advisor to the World Scout Committee for the past four years, I had the opportunity to take part in the decision-making processes and to witness the importance of collective decision-making, intergenerational and intercultural dialogue. These allowed us to create and implement policies that remain relevant and appealing to our next generation. Being part of the Committee, I know there are lots to be achieved in three years and it is especially difficult when we are hindered by the pandemic. However, I am eager and motivated to collaborate with the Regions and National Scout Organizations. With my passion and experience, I hope I can be part of the team, to steer the Movement in the upcoming term. We will be able to recover from the pandemic, to deliver better youth programmes, to ensure better governance and to achieve Vision 2023 and beyond. Together, we create a better world.
