We are going to have both exciting and challenging times ahead: recovering from the pandemic, building a financially, socially, and environmentally sustainable organisation, improving our youth engagement, and developing a new Strategy for Scouting. I strongly believe that WOSM needs dedicated, competent, and open-minded leadership that is committed to supporting National Scout Organizations and responding to their needs. As Scouting continues to evolve and appeal to a new generation of young people in our ever-changing society, I am willing to help create an environment that encourages personal development of young people and makes them become drivers of change. I know from my personal experience how Scouting can shape one’s life. That is why I am able to bring passion, knowledge, expertise, and time to further develop Scouting so that more young people can benefit from its transformational power. Coming from the Eurasia region, I bring a perspective from a part of the world where young people, and especially women, are stepping up to leadership positions; I know what it takes. By running for election, I also want to inspire future candidates to continue this trend and to embrace Scouting’s modern values, by choosing a diverse team to represent the World Scout Committee.
