Daniël Corsen, Curaçao has been selected as the Chairperson of the World Scout Committee for the 2024-2027 triennium alongside Mori Chi-Kin Cheng, Hong Kong and Julius Kramer, Sweden who will serve as the Committee’s two Vice-Chairpersons.
The Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons were appointed by the newly elected 12 voting members of the World Scout Committee on 22 August 2024 during the fifth day of the 43rd World Scout Conference taking place in Cairo, Egypt this week.
The World Scout Committee is the Governing Board for the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) and is one of the organisation’s three bodies outlined in the WOSM Constitution along with the World Scout Conference and World Scout Bureau as the two others.
The World Scout Committee is responsible for implementing the resolutions of the World Scout Conference and acting on the Conference’s behalf in between its meetings. The recently elected 12 Voting Members of the World Scout Committee listed in alphabetical order by last name are:

According to WOSM’s constitutional provisions, the World Scout Committee’s mandate starts at the closure of the 43rd World Scout Conference and will finish at the closure of the 44th World Scout Conference in 2027.
