Conference and Youth Forum Ambassador
About the Ambassador role
The Conference and Youth Forum Ambassador is a voluntary role that we recommend each National Scout Organization establish as part of their delegation for the World Scout Conference and Youth Forum.
The primary responsibility of the Ambassador is to ensure National Scout Organization delegations are prepared to have an effective and meaningful participation in the events. This is particularity important given the virtual modality of the Conference and Youth Forum, which will require delegations to prepare themselves in different ways than for in-person events.

Responsibilities and qualifications
The responsibilities of the Ambassador are to:

Support the participation of national delegations by explaining to the delegates how they can effectively participate in the events.

Facilitate the induction of participants to understand the event’s programmes and agendas.

Familiarise delegations with the event’s digital participation platform and the tools for virtual participation before and during the events.

Support delegations to understand the decision-making aspects of the events, including the rules of procedure in a virtual context, and tools for participation in decision-making.

Solve potential problems from a programme or technology perspective, and request support from the Help Desk as needed.

Communicate to delegations and support National Scout Organizations to organise the Conference programme and participation in social events.

Follow up with members of the delegation to make sure the registration information is provided on time and that delegates have submitted their Safe from Harm certificates.
The Conference and Youth Forum Ambassador is a voluntary role that we recommend each National Scout Organization establish as part of their delegation for the World Scout Conference and Youth Forum.
Each National Scout Organization can appoint a Conference and Youth Forum Ambassador with a mandate until the end of the World Scout Conference. Ambassador need to be able to communicate effectively in English or French and to have a strong digital knowledge and experience. The Ambassadors will receive virtual training and will be supported in their roles through the Help Desk team.
