The Danish Scout Council will host the 27th World Scout Jamboree in Denmark in 2031. The Danish Scout Council was appointed the Host of the 2031 Jamboree by the 43rd World Scout Conference following a vote by Member Organizations. This will be the second time Denmark hosts a World Scout Jamboree since the last time a century ago when the 2nd World Scout Jamboree took place in the country in August 1924.
The World Scout Jamboree is a major international outdoor education event organised by World Scouting. Held every four years, the Jamboree brings together tens of thousands of Scouts, aged 14 to 17, from around the globe to promote cultural exchange, friendship, and adventure. The Jamboree offers a transformative experience for young people to connect with other Scouts, develop leadership skills, and engage in outdoor activities while embracing the Scouting values of community service, personal growth, and environmental sustainability.
The Jamboree’s programme is packed with a variety of educational, recreational, and community service activities, including workshops, team-building exercises, and outdoor pursuits. These experiences enable Scouts to build a strong sense of global citizenship and foster a deeper understanding of cultures and traditions that contribute to creating a more peaceful, inclusive and connected world.
The 2031 Jamboree will be hosted in Denmark, a country located in Northern Europe with a population of 6 million known for its welcoming Nordic spirit. The Danish Scouts aim to engage the next generation of young leaders and plan to centre their programme around the theme “Amplify your Impact”. The provisional dates for the 27th World Scout Jamboree have been set for 28 July to 8 August 2031.
The 27th World Scout Jamboree in Denmark will be built on three pillars: Create, Influence, and Volunteer, with an overarching theme of “Amplifying Our Impact.” These pillars will focus on fun and engaging activities across five key areas: Peaceful Living, Health, Sustainability, Responsible technology, and Thriving Communities. Impact projects, reflections, hackathons, leadership training, and digital connectivity are among the program’s key features. By engaging young people in solving problems and shaping solutions, we aim to empower them as leaders, innovators, and global citizens. The Jamboree will strive to ensure everyone, regardless of ability, can participate fully in all activities, advocating for inclusivity.
Denmark’s leadership in renewable energy solutions will be leveraged at the 27th World Scout Jamboree in Denmark. Camp operations will integrate environmental responsibility through waste sorting, green energy, wastewater purification, and CO2-neutral heating. The materials for the camp will be ethically sourced, and no new permanent buildings will be built. Sustainable practices will be prioritized as part of a collaboration with the Danish National Jamboree in 2030.
