Diversity of candidates running for election to the World Scout Committee

A diverse set of candidates from across the Scout Movement and representing all Scouting Regions have now put forward their candidacy to become elected as Youth Advisors and voting members to the World Scout Committee.

Participants will vote during the 14th World Scout Youth Forum and 42nd World Scout Conference to elect six Youth Advisors and 12 voting members to the World Scout Committee,

As one of three constitutive bodies of WOSM, the World Scout Committee is responsible for the implementation of the decisions of the World Scout Conference and for acting on its behalf between its meetings. Youth Advisors play a key role in the Committee’s decision-making processes.

Delegations are encouraged to visit the candidate profiles and schedule online meetings with the candidates to get to know them better and learn more about their motivations to run for election. During the events, specific time will be set aside in the agenda for candidates to present themselves, both in plenary and in small breakout rooms with all delegations.
