Bidding for the 43rd World Scout Conference and 15th World Scout Youth Forum (2024)

The World Scout Conference is the governing body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Taking place every three years, the Conference enables WOSM’s Member Organizations to play an active role in shaping the standards, policies and shared goals of the Scout Movement worldwide. The World Scout Youth Forum happens in advance of the Conference, giving young people a platform to learn new skills and open the door to involvement in world-level decision-making for Scouting.

Motivational statement

It is important to stress that the principal motivation for hosting the World Scout Conference and World Scout Youth Forum is not only an advantage of the Egyptian Scout Federation but of the entire Arab Scout Region.

Only once has such events been hosted by a National Scout Organization of the Arab Scout Region (Tunisia, 2005) and we believe that it can be a great input to the development – both program and organisational – of our National Scout Organization.

A quantum leap in the Scout Movement in Egypt – the heart of the Arab Region – is highly needed nowadays not only for the important need of youth empowerment but also for an educational method that can help youth to add the maximum value to their community. As the Egyptian Scout Federation, we believe that this experience will allow us to significantly reach an outstanding start to do such a leap. In one word we truly believe that these two events are a golden chance for our National Scout Organization to be a valuable part in forming the future of Egypt.

  • Five-star hotel, is majestically positioned facing the Straits of Tiran
  • Opposite to the exotic Tiran Island and overlooking the National Marine Park with over 600 meters of private beachfront, surrounded by gentle hills
