Key decisions and outcomes

 

Decisions made at the 43rd World Scout Conference will help shape the future direction of the World Scout Movement. 

Among them are the Strategy for Scouting, draft objectives of the World Triennial Plan, amendments to the WOSM Constitution, approved Conference Resolutions, hosts of the future World Scout Events, and elected voting members of the World Scout Committee. Scroll down to learn more.

Conference Resolutions​

The following Conference Resolutions proposed by the World Scout Committee and Member Organizations were approved during the 43rd World Scout Conference and will be implemented in the 2024-2027 Triennium and beyond. Head to the documents page for the full text.

Strategy for Scouting​

The next Strategy for Scouting was unanimously approved. This visionary roadmap is set to guide the Scout Movement until 2033, ensuring its relevance in a rapidly changing world. Built around three impact statements and seven strategic priorities, the strategy is a commitment to enhancing the Scouting experience and ensuring its relevance in a rapidly changing world, inspiring every young person to lead, learn, and make a difference.

Draft objectives of the World Triennial Plan

The draft objectives of the World Triennial Plan for 2024-2027, endorsed by Member Organizations at the 43rd World Scout Conference, outline the key priorities and strategic objectives needed to achieve World Scouting’s Strategy for Scouting by 2027. The newly elected World Scout Committee will review and align these objectives with approved Conference Resolutions, allocating resources accordingly. The final version of the World Triennial Plan will be published by 31 December 2024, with the revised draft objectives made available online.

Amendment to WOSM's Constitution

The 43rd World Scout Conference approved an Amendment (Conference Document 4C) to WOSM’s Constitution, strengthening the authority of the World Scout Committee and World Scout Bureau in managing and overseeing World Scout Events. An updated publication of the full Constitution of WOSM will be published in due course.
