World Scouting Time Capsule: Join Us in Contributing to the Future of Scouting

As part of the 43rd World Scout Conference, all National Scout Organizations (NSOs) are invited to participate in a unique and meaningful project: the World Scouting Time Capsule. This capsule will be sealed on the final day of the Conference and opened near the end of the next Triennium, symbolising our collective commitment to the future of Scouting.

The time capsule will embody our dedication to the next Strategy for Scouting, showcasing our hopes and opportunities for young people and future generations. It will prompt us to reflect on what we can contribute to support the continuous development of young people, equipping them with the skills, experience, and knowledge necessary to face the challenges of society and our planet.

Contributing to the Time Capsule

We encourage each NSO to thoughtfully select an item that aligns with the following guidelines:

Size

  • Contributions should not exceed 5cm x 5cm x 5cm in size.

Content

  • Items can include photos, objects, letters, postcards, or texts that represent:
    • Your country and NSO.
    • Your NSO’s commitment to the future of Scouting.
    • Contributions your NSO aspires to make towards the next Strategy for Scouting.
    • Hopes and opportunities for young people.
    • Example contributions:
A collage of photos illustrating how your members engage with the Vision and Strategy for Scouting.
A small item, such as an animal, object, or character, carries a written commitment from your NSO.
