World Scouting unveils the new Strategy for Scouting: Scouting’s roadmap to empower youth and drive global change

World Scouting has launched its newly approved next Strategy for Scouting, a visionary roadmap designed to empower over 57 million Scouts worldwide to equip youth and drive positive change. This strategy is set to guide the Scout Movement until 2033, ensuring its relevance in a rapidly changing world.

The strategy is built around three powerful impact statements and seven strategic priorities – each one carefully crafted to enhance and elevate the Scouting experience. These priorities are not just goals; they are commitments to creating a world where every young person is inspired to lead, learn, and make a difference.
The next Strategy for Scouting is not just a roadmap; it’s a call to action for every Scout and leader worldwide to rise to the challenges of our time and shape a better future,” said Jo Deman, Vice Chairperson of the World Scout Committee.

Three key impact areas are highlighted in the strategy: fostering a peaceful, inclusive world, promoting sustainability, and ensuring Scouting’s resilience and adaptability. Designed through extensive stakeholder engagement, these focus areas will address some of the world’s most pressing problems, making Scouting a powerful force for positive change.

Clear priorities are also stressed, to accomplish these ambitious goals. The document outlines specific initiatives aimed at enhancing Scouting’s educational offerings, as well as improving support for Scout organisations at all levels. Even amid global challenges, Scouting will thrive and grow through this structured approach.
In conjunction with the development of the strategy, World Scouting has undergone a significant brand refresh to align with the new vision. This brand evolution goes beyond aesthetics; it serves as a bridge to inspire and unite the entire Scout Movement to reach new heights and achieve its ambitious goals. As World Scouting enters this exciting new era, the refreshed brand will serve as a powerful symbol of unity and purpose.

The launch of the strategy also highlights the importance of collaboration. It will be implemented through robust partnerships with governments, non-governmental organisations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring that Scouting remains a vital and impactful force for good across the globe.
