Dear friends in Scouting,
We are excited to see you in Egypt for the upcoming 14th World Scout Youth Forum and 42nd World Scout Conference where we will come together as a global Movement of 170 National Scout Organizations from around the world.
Around 1,500 participants are expected to convene in Sharm El-Sheikh to review the progress we have made during the current triennium and to look ahead at our plans to deliver on Vision 2023 to be the world’s leading educational youth movement.
Together, we will exchange ideas, celebrate our success, connect with each other, and make some big decisions that will shape the future of the Scout Movement. The Conference will also draw on the energy, creativity, and innovative ideas of youth members who will gather during the World Scout Youth Forum.
The World Scout Conference is always a special milestone and 2020 will be no exception as we celebrate both the 100th anniversary of the World Scout Bureau and the centenary of the Conference itself.
Moving into the final three years of our Strategy for Scouting, the Conference will be an important time to reflect on all the progress we have made and explore how we will continue to grow to enable 100 million young people to create positive change in their communities.
We have an exciting opportunity ahead of us and we look forward to seeing you all soon in Sharm El-Sheikh!
